SPCA Tampa Bay is seeking a full-time Intake Services Manager to oversee the intake process for stray animals, owner surrenders, and humane euthanasia services. This leadership role ensures compassionate customer service while managing daily operations, supervising staff, and collaborating across departments to support animal welfare. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise and facilitate the intake process for animals, ensuring compliance with regulations.

  • Provide counseling to pet owners considering surrender.

  • Oversee intake staff, scheduling, training, and workflow efficiency.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure a clean, safe work environment.

  • Collaborate with other departments within the shelter.

Qualifications:
 
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred.

  • Strong customer service skills with a compassionate approach.

  • Experience handling and caring for animals.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and shelter management software (e.g., PetPoint).

  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead a team.

  • Euthanasia Technician Certification required within six months of employment.

  • Valid Florida driver’s license.

Work Requirements:
 
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

  • Exposure to loud noise and animal waste.

  • Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and working with various animal species.

  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Compensation: $47,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
